Damian Flanagan was fortunate to meet Misuzu Kosaka in Kobe several years ago and is delighted with the calligraphy she has produced for several of his books. Works by Kosaka Misuzu have been incorporated on the front cover, as the frontispiece and as the page motif throughout The Tower of London and on the front cover and as the frontispiece of The Gate. Her calligraphy is  an integral part of the design of the books, with a more traditional style of calligraphy deployed on the frontcover and a more artistically transformed piece as the spectacular frontispiece of each book.
